    I am dubious of the reference to Steve Pinker’s claim that presidential IQ is inversely proportional to battlefield deaths. Lincoln is purported to have had a very high IQ, yet the civil war resulted in something like 600,000 battlefield deaths. If I am not mistaken that is more than any war in US history. This claim sounds like total nonsense.
