Celebrate The Fourth Of July With The Token Skeptic Book – The Scope Of Skepticism!

It’s finally out and ready for purchase (purr-chase? I do have a lot of cats on the cover…)

With tremendous thanks to Catherine Donaldson of Faster Pussycat Productions, who provided her magical touch to make this book become reality!

The Scope of Skepticism: Interviews, Essays and Observations from the Token Skeptic Podcast.

“I hope I know enough about history and human nature to agree that there is one born every minute and to know that there is desperation to make sense of things, and making sense of the universe isn’t easy.” - Stephen Fry.

“Start with observation-based facts and the scientific method, not with insults and a desire to remove their religious foundation, prior to actually teaching them anything.”Dr Pamela Gay.

“But I think if you keep putting out your ideas, you’ll attract like-minded people and hopefully make some almost-like-minded people more like-minded.”Tim Minchin.

“…Part of being a critical thinker is that you can say, ‘Hang on, I did this, I supported this, but I actually think I’m going to change my mind.’”Dr Petra Boynton.

The Scope of Skepticism is a collection of interviews and essays from over five years of eliciting information from some of the world’s most entertaining and intriguing people. Amongst this diverse range are many who would not call themselves a ‘skeptic’, but will certainly provide food for thought on everything from paranormal claims, sex and relationships, education, art, science and faith.

Who else is in it? Joey Haban, Caroline Watt, Daniel Loxton, Jennifer Ouellette, Desiree Schell, Sharon Hill, Julian Morrow, Scott Sigler, Indre Viskontas, Ben Radford, Lyz Liddell… and there’s even an essay or two, totalling twenty chapters in all.

The book is currently available in… book form… and I’ll let you know when electronic-readable versions are available (very soon!). Sneak preview of the book by clicking on the information page.

Is this book available as an ebook? I much prefer to be my reading on my iPad. I prefer to use the Nook (Barnes & Noble) software on the iPad, but Kindle (Amazon) or iBook (Apple) is fine also.
