LOL he hit the head on the head. Without all the technical terms this does sound pretty much like the argument made by the ID crowd.
I bet it started off as a prank. Someone went to the wikipedia page on evolution and thought they were being slick by adding God to the footnotes.

“Well come on, no one’s really going to … believe this. Are they?”
We’re at the kicking and screaming part. While I doubt we’ll ever rid humanity of the desire to believe in gods, we’re getting close to the point where science and rational thought will relegate the major monotheistic religions to Scientology cult status, and thus, a similar amount of influence on the non-delusionist’s lives.

So much about creationism/ID is so stupid that comedy is actually the only appropriate way to talk about it. If you’re talking about creationism and you’re not sniggering something is wrong.
