    That damned, elusive Pimpernel!

When I first started thinking about religion, back in like middle school, this was one of the first things that I realized… It has never stopped bothering me too.

  • Mark

You are SO going to hell for putting that cartoon on here. Oh, wait…. now I see what you did there…

I wonder if any of today’s evangelicals have read Dante’s Inferno, and what they think about his idea of the various levels of hell- and the treatment of the great pagans. As mythologizing goes, it’s way more successful than anything in the Bible.

When I was younger I always wondered about that. Satan is evil, as are the people that go down there, so why aren’t they friends?

  • Will

Satan has no love in him from my basic understanding of the Bible. Therefore even if a person did something evil and the devil enjoyed that, he still would enjoy tormenting them for it.

That’s true evil, tormenting those who follow you and try to please you.

I don’t understand how people can beat and torture animals that show nothing but love toward them either. It’s just evil. That’s what evil is. It doesn’t make rational sense, to me anyway. But it’s still there very clearly in our everyday lives but we are so used to it we pay it no attention until we see only the most horrendous of examples of it (lol I’m starting to sound like the guy from Se7en :) )

Amimasl abuse is ofc totally wrong and ofc the worst thing about it is if you do it to a dog they still love you…
I wish Dabte’s Inferno was accurate as I know many people that would spend eternity there and rightly so. Good luck to humanity because as there is no god (in my opinion) some people treat others like dirt and it does nothing but hurt the people that are humble, kind and honest.
I get the reasons for the 10 commandments, for moral rules being in place but some people like to spoil it for the whole damn bunch.
Yes, you are in hell. It’s called life.
