A personal favorite Q.I. clip.
It is amazing how a great many British people are not familiar with the most idiotic American religious drivel such as ‘The Rapture’.
Especially fond of Alan Davies remark, “They just won’t learn, will they?” regarding the ‘second coming’.
Purple triangles? I’ve learnt something- and am now stuck with the image of Barney the dinosaur in a konzlager.
What is even more ironic about the purple triangle is that Jerry Falwell was convinced that it was associated with teh gay, and denounced Tinky-Winky for being gay: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/276677.stm
Just so everyone knows; there are some sane people in America too. We’re not all mad cultists waiting for some “rapture.” o.O
Love the show, but the set is dreadful, and what is it with the Brits and ugly shirts?

I think it’s to distract your attention from their bad teeth.
That’s quite an outfit he’s wearing.
man, this never happened to me when i was high school! no girl invited me in when her parents weren’t home!
I got a guy at work so mad he wouldn’t speak to me anymore. He was telling me about the rapture and I said that it already happened. All the true believers had been taken to heaven and all the people here today just got it wrong. Told him that he was going to hell with the rest of us.
Malcom, you’re my hero of the day! What a grand response! I’m going to use that the next time I’m in the ‘head office’ where the fundie nuts are hiding. (Yes, it’s sad when the loonies are all in the ‘head office’)
