Agenda – What is this? I don’t even…

So, I made the terrible mistake of following a friend’s link on facebook to this little gem:

At first I thought it was an elaborate joke, but it didn’t take long to discover that it’s actually a still from a new Tea Party sponsored documentary (I use the term loosely) which basically seeks to establish that Krischun ‘Muuurkha = Good, and Left Wing Soshalism = EBUL.

Strap in folks, it’s about to get crazy:

And now it’s going to get even crazier:

The guy in the second video is such an obvious liar that it’s a little bit painful to try to watch all the way through, but do your best.

The religious right accusing everybody else of historical revisionism and promoting an inclusive mind-set… The irony burns.

Please oh please, someone replace democratic party with “Kevin Bacon” at the top!

    • Custador

Now why didn’t I think of that :D

    • Elemenope

    • Revyloution

For the win. John, you win 8 internets! Take the rest of the week off.

    • Rebecca Trotter

OMG – somebody totally needs to do that! LOL

    • Revyloution

Ok, I did it. Now someone needs to put it up with this link.

Or does it deserve its own topic?:)

      • Custador

I shall examine the horror after I get back from work!

    • LRA

      COMMENT WIN!!!! LOL!!!!!!

  • kentuckyfreethinker

Please tell me the flow chart was drawn by Glenn Beck.

  • Elemenope

Besides, it’s not even accurate. They should interject Cornel West between Gramsci and Alinsky. What Keynes has to do with homosexuality is beyond me. And where’s Obama? Where’s the big arrow that should connect the radical homosexual agenda with cultural marxism?!

    It’s like they’re amateurs!

    • Paul

Where’s Obama? Listen to any of the right wing radio shows. The “C” word – communism – than they had felt was useless after the fall of the Soviet Union is back. Obama is always labeled socialist, marxist or communist.

Things like this movie are important and rather than just making fun of it, they need to be exposed for what they are. The Republicans know that none of their candidates is going to be able to win in November so all the old stereotypes are being dug out of the closets. The way they depict our president leads their listeners to believe that we will all be enslaved by the new world order if Obama is re-elected.

I fear that things like this movie and the Limbaugh/Hannity/Beck et al talk shows intend to fire up the right and it could be a very dark America.

I don’t know what to expect but I expect something drastic between now and next January. Obama is well positioned already, where we really need to focus is on winning back the house and senate. Even if one of them wins the white house they can be kept in check if we control the legislature.

      • Brian K

Well…there is definitely some “enslaving” going on, along with some fun fun fun war mongering…but it is a “bi”partisan affair and is certainly not being stymied or slowed by voting for President Peace Prize. And, it has nothing to do with “Marxism”. That’s just for the boobs.

On the other hand, the boobs and the maniacs the “right” are throwing up right now are convenient distractions from what is going on in the world.

  • drax

Once “they” take America down, what happens after that? I’m hoping for a party.

    • Elemenope

Ponies. Free ones. Red, communist ponies for everyone!

      • Francesco

Ponies is probably the wrost thing that you could have said :)

        • marty

          The. Worst. Possible. Thing!

          • UrsaMinor

Indeed. I was promised a kitten if I helped to take America down.

            • FO

But are you going to eat it?

            • UrsaMinor

But of course! I’m an atheist. My neighbors expect it of me, and one must keep up appearances.

            • drax

As a gay man, an atheist, and a scientist you’ve done triple duty in the communist plot to “take down” Amerika. You’ll get your kitten…. hell, you’ll get a whole litter!!

  • BC

In 2010, the Republican candidate (and Tea Party member) for Colorado Governor made the claim that the bike-share program (where people can pay a monthly/hourly fee to have access to bikes located around the city) was actually part of a UN plot to deprive Americans of their automobiles as part of a the fight against Global Warming. Yeah, the Tea party loves their conspiracy theories.

    • FO

      This is…
      Ok, I have no words.

WTF, these people are desperate for validation of their pet ideas. O_O

    • UrsaMinor

I suspect a far more sinister plot to stem the American obesity epidemic. Lowering our carbon emissions is simply collateral damage.

  • trj

I can’t believe they forgot about socialized health care. And death panels.

  • JT

The Democratic party can trace its roots to the Anti-Federalists in the 1790s, and it’s fairly modern form just after the War of 1812. Karl Marx wrote in the middle of the 19th century. Is there some kind of wonky time travel involved here?

    • Paul

The Democratic party up until LBJ, in the south at least, had a fairly active right wing that gradually switched over to being Republicans. Remember that it was the Democratic party that supported slavery and secession from the union that led to the civil war and democratic governors like George Wallace and Lester Maddox that fought civil rights reforms tooth and nail. And of course they were the party of Robert Byrd, a former KKK leader.

There was a big change in the democratic party in the south after LBJ to become what they are today, shedding the worst characters who joined up with the republicans. The last of these decided that joining the republicans after the 94 elections was more likely to keep them in power.

I grew up in the midst of these changes and saw republicans for the first time gaining power in the south. The democrats changed for the better and those who wanted to keep the status quo – like the folks with this film – found open arms in the republican party and the evangelical christians who had long seen their spiritual life as separate from politics, climbed aboard as well.

  • RickRay1

Discredit the bible? Have you republicans even read that atrocious book? Atheists know more about the Buybull than any other demographic/or religious group. Want to discredit your book of fairy-tales? Read it yourself and study it! Or are you afraid of what it REALLY, says?

  • Revyloution

No way am i going to pay for this, but I really want to watch the entire show. If he truly believed he was spreading the Truth, he wouldn’t mind if I just pirated it from somewhere.

    Anyone have a link?

    • FO

You really hate yourself Revy? ^_^

I hope it’s ok to link a torrent here.
After all, I am sure they do it for America and not to milk money from some gullible retards…

      • vasaroti

All hail Kopimi! Surely the FSM will cede a corner of his universe to this generous religion.

        • FO

          Ctrl-C Ctrl-V brother!

      • Revyloution

It’s not so much as hate myself, but a promise to try and not insulate myself. I try to read a book, blog, column, or watch a program that is polar opposite to my views at least a couple times a month.

Instead of looking for all the things wrong (that’s usually too easy), I look for ideas that I would agree with. Looking for that common ground has made it much easier to talk with people of radically opposing views.

        • FO

That’s very wise of you Revy.

Normally I’d try but I’m exposed only to the most extreme stupidity and that just ruins my mood.

        • kholdom0790

What a fabulous idea Revy! Good critical thinking and analysis practice.

  • joe

The sad part is the mentally ill do not realize they are mentally ill. This sick paranoid fool has an obsessive fear bad people are out to destroy America, and has been working his butt off collecting evidence to confirm his suspicions since 1992. A good psychiatrist could have held a mirror up to this guys face and told him we have found the evil one and he must look into the mirror to see if he recognizes him, because we need to commit him immediately.

  • Rich Wilson

Interesting that in 1958 a Communist goal was to promote ‘homo-sexuality’. Interesting because homosexuality carried a five year prison sentence in the U.S.S.R.

  • Richard C Brown

Who or What is standing in the way of our evolving as Human Beings?
I looked in the mirror and saw me,but behind me stood U.
We are fortunate to have gotten this far without totally destroying ourselves.
We will just keep working at self destruction and maybe one day succeed.
Or,do U think as a possibility we could get Jesus to come get the Right Wing?
Well how about anyone that wants to go.We need the space and food is scarce.

  • plamaborne4rel

What is confusing is how these ignorant superstitious people win elections

  • Gregory Marshall

Gee, what was that big social uprising that happened in the 60′s? Oh, yeah, the civil rights movement. Yeah, America was great before the 1960′s. If you were a white male christian that is, not so much for anybody else.

    • trj

They do seem to be the ones who complain the most about the loss of “traditional values”.

  • smittypap

Re the 1st clip — I thought Phillis Schlafly was dead.

    Turns out I was right.

  • Gab

Isn’t the “concerned woman for America” Wendy Wright in the first video the one who time ago was urbanely spanked by a Richard Dawkins even more concerned about the spooky Coulterish gaze of this woman, clearly high on Jesusmeth and other assorted cheap s***?

  • Brian K

I love how there is only one intermediate step between the KGB and the Democratic Party. LOL.
