News from Albany

Two bits information from my neck of the woods that may or may not be related:

1. There’s a new Gallup poll which confirms what the Barna group survey told us: my hometown of Albany is one of the least religious places in America.

The Capital Region is among the least religious regions in the nation, according to a new poll from Gallup.

Only 26 percent of those surveyed in this area say they are very religious, which puts the Albany-Schenectady-Troy region in ninth place among the least religious of the 189 areas polled. Burlington, Vt., and Boulder, Colo., are respectively the first and second least religious regions.

2. Author, atheist and member of the Capital Region Atheist and Agnostics, Hank Fox has joined Patheos.

What does this tell us about politicians?

  • Hank Fox

I’m not fully operational at Patheos, but we should be set in just a few days for the big rollout.
