The Way Too Philosophical Pop Song

Or, “Why existential philosophers don’t reach the Top 40.”

“We’ll be dancing for the rest of our lives, so objectively where is the worth.”

I dedicate this to Daniel Fincke.

For a satiric song, this went pretty well, though it takes a bit too long to determine that the intent -is- satiric (too many real pop songs have crappy lyrics).

If you want philosophers that -did- make it to the top ten, see Simon & Garfunkle.
    Also maybe Bob Dylan.

This song’s lyrics only makes explicit the subtext that I hear blaring out of every pop song about partying.

I *am* that guy! And hey, if only Symphony of Science could join up with musical scientists and philosophers instead of the weirdness of autotune …

I suggest this one is both philosophically and musically superior:

    Willard Van Orman Quine, Live
