FUS Conference on Sex and Marriage

FUS Conference on Sex and Marriage December 28, 2007

My alma mater, Franciscan University of Steubenville, is hosting an interesting conference in March 2008. The Institute for Bioethics is sponsoring “Ethical Issues in Sex and Marriage” from March 27-29, 2008. Plenary lectures will be given by Joseph Boyle, Teresa Collett, Maggie Gallagher and Andrew Trew.

If you are a professor, college student or independent scholar, here is the information for submitting abstracts of papers:

How should sex, marriage, and procreation be related? What role, if any, should the political
community play in shaping the culture on this issue? What are the moral limits of technology for sexuality and reproduction?

Call for Abstracts: Abstracts of papers are welcome on these issues, or on any aspect of the ethics and legal philosophy concerning sex and marriage. Finished papers should not exceed a 35-minute reading time. Please submit abstracts for blind review, by e-mail or printed copy, by February 15, 2008.
