God: king of mismanaged priorities

Every time I see/hear a person pray, or whenever those trying to convert me ask if I’d mind if they prayed for me, this is what I think.

It is also what I think when people tell me that Christianity is a religion of humility.

Also, fuck Tim Tebow.

I have to agree here. Especially with the fuck Tim Tebow part. I hate that guy and loved watching him cry during the SEC Championship game two years ago.

Yup. This is exactly what I think, too. I went to a Mega-Church last Sunday that was praying for the success of their fund-raising campaign; they need Jesus to keep the money rolling in because they spend $40,000 a MONTH on their services. I mean, they had some kick-ass laser lights and shit, but, um, spending $40,000 a MONTH so that a bunch of rich white 20- and 30-somethings can sing rock-and-roll music about how much they love Jesus while children die slowly and horribly of starvation in the developing world is so fucking immoral I don’t even know where to start.

Because of a story a former college roommate told me about finding her keys, I have nicknamed the god one would pray to in that situation, the god of the lost and found. It amuses me.
