Godless College Football Thread

Last week Arkansas squeaked out a victory against Ole Miss.  For the third consecutive game Arkansas trailed at halftime only to see their offense and defense come alive in the second half.  Against Ole Miss, it was good enough to escape with a 29-24 victory.

Vanderbilt, who we are playing today, beat that same Ole Miss team 30-7.  This is worrisome.  I hope the hogs can come out fast against blitz-happy Vandy.

I have quite a few friends at SOMA at the University of Kansas.  One of my besties, Michaelyn is an officer in that group.  It is not uncommon for my friend Michaelyn and I to co-root for each other’s teams on Saturday, but today I have an extra special reason to pull for Kansas: today they can upset the #24 Texas Longhorns!  I pretty much loathe all things Texas (I try to imagine that Matt Dillahunty lives somewhere else) to the extent that I would cheer for Herman Cain as long as he was playing against the Longhorns.

My upset pick for the day?  Georgia Tech over #5 Clemson!

Anyway, be godless and talk about football!  I’m coming down sick so I’ll be popping in an commenting myself today.  :)
