NOM: Wanna Know Who We Are?

The National Organization Against for Marriage should be a laughing stock – and they would be if not for about 20% of the country comprised of god-wallopers keeping first-century morality on life support. Turns out they’re as adept at lying as they are at evaluating the likelihood that someone walked on water.

NOM in New Hampshire is attempting to convince congress to repeal that legislation. This is what their web site looks like:

Even when I saw this on Maddow I thought to myself “Hey, that place looks familiar!” It turns out that it’s part of the Columbus, OH skyline – about a mile from my house. For the geographically challenged out there (read: everybody at NOM), Columbus, Ohio is not in New Hampshire. There’s Brian Brown on the right, presumably in New Hampshire. So who was the crowd cheering for?

It turns out it was from a Barrack Obama rally at the Ohio capitol building in 2008, and NOM is leaching his popularity. Thanks ye liars for Jesus for proving that faith, at the minimum, doesn’t make anybody more honest (and it arguably gives them the impetus to be more dishonest). If you “click here to learn who we are”, I just imagine it shows a big red arrow that says “not these people”.

Thanks to Steven for the link.

Ugh, lens flare. And through a flag no less.

Ah, there’s nothing quite like seeing a group sin to stop another group from sinning. I’m sure that’s in the Bible that some sins are worse than other. A whole sin hierarchy. Or maybe these people are just morons. Either one.

Fuck, I hate groups like NOM. Seriously. Want to believe that homosexuality is a sin? I cannot stop you. Want to enforce your stupid and stunted morality(which seems weak considering the deception) on others who do not share it? Fuck you.

They used a picture of an Obama campaign stop in Ohio? Seriously? Are they cracked, that they thought nobody would notice? Wait, you don’t need to answer that. It’s self-evident.

Dear NOM: So far, I’ve yet to read of any straight couples being compelled by these laws supporting equality in marriage to get divorced. Not even one couple. Not one. Could you kindly provide those of us supporters of these bills, with a scan of the correct section of the Act that provides for such mass forced divorces?

Otherwise I’ll have to come to the conclusion that you are actually defending your right to be a homophobe.+

    Yours sincerely,
    His Lordship Mayhem.

Even NOM’s own signs aren’t too good. I had to look twice at the “Defend (man+woman) Marriage”. At first i thought it was a “Defend (woman+woman) Marriage”. Yeah! Go for it!
