Speaking in Michigan

This Thursday I’ll be giving a presentation of Dear Christian at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.  For those unfamiliar with the talk, it’s pretty much a run-down of the most common arguments for god’s existence and why I find them unsatisfactory.  This will be even more fun considering

This event is co-sponsored with Cru at Grand Valley.

Cru (once Campus Crusade for Christ) will have people in attendance.  I love giving talks to religious audiences.  I love doing debates in front of religious audiences.  I may zip through the talk just to get to the Q&A faster.  I must say though, if you wanted to put the religious attendees at ease, using a picture of me about to devour a kitten for the poster was probably a bad idea.

The lecture will begin in Loutit room 102 at 9pm and move to 101 after for Q&A.

      It will be attempted.

Do you happen to know what building its in/if we need to RSVP? I was looking at the campus on google maps but I can’t find any building called Loutit.

No need to RSVP, though we would apprectiate an RSVP on our facebook event (linked above). I also recommend showing up a little early since seating may be limited.

Loutit is sandwiched between Student Services, Henry Hall, and Padnos. Best way to describe it, is enter Padnos or Henry Halls via the doors that face Campus Dr. and start looking for fish tanks and a big triangular fountain. If you’re at the fountain, the Loutit Lecture halls are right there.

      Hope that helps!

Now I want to live in Michigan. I would love to watch a video of both the talk and of the crowd’s reaction, that seems like a ton of work though.

Please don’t charge, Penelope! We might see less of you! CUTE kitty! More kittens please!

When are you coming to the UK, JT? I wish you and Greta would do a tour, it would be great to see you live….
