The Daily Twitter: Athiests believe in nothing

Christina here…

Here’s your daily dose of Twitter!

**I went to sleep, but apparently @AshPaulo went on to argue with other  AtheiTwits:**

**I attempted to continue our conversation in the morning:**

@AshPaulo. You’re entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. Also, I don’t need to respect your personal opinion. If you don’t want people to call you out on a public forum, then don’t post your opinions to a public forum.

I made you this:

Why not come over to WWJTD and find out what atheists really think, instead of telling us what we think, and then getting mad when we call you out on it?

“Please respect my opinion that you are stupid”

Hypocrisy meter is off the chart

  • Mark

Not telling people what they think is a good idea.

  • TerranRich

Do these Daily Twitters get sent to the person in question?

  • Rory

I suspect that if your opinion was that Ashley is a mouth-breathing twit, she would no longer feel that all opinions are equally worthy of respect. But that’s just my opinion.

    •!/Erulora Erulóra Maikalambe

      I respect your opinion, Rory.

I’m a high school English teacher, and I’ve been giving a little crash course on the Abrahamic religions as background for a unit of central Asian literature (Middle East and Indian subcontinent). (I’m also, to my knowledge, the only non-believing instructor on staff.)

I started off by clarifying the term monotheism and distinguishing it from polytheistic religions (like Hinduism) and atheistic religions (like some forms of Buddhism). And like clockwork, I heard the “atheists don’t believe in anything” line. Since it seemed like a sincere statement rather than simple derision, I handled it as diplomatically as possible (and let’s face it, I’m used to correcting ignorance, especially as regards world cultures), but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t get under my skin just a little bit.

Well, the world didn’t create itself (gravity did most the work while the world just sat there, the load)…yet don’t see how that invalidates atheism.

Personally I thought that Believe In Nothing was one of the best Nevermore songs, at least one of the best off Dead Heart In A Dead World

Well it looks like the moronic potty-mouth little sh1t has deleted most of her tweets, especially the ones where she starts foaming at the mouth. I was going to point out to her that nearly everybody who demands respect has usually done diddly squat to deserve it, but I think that message might go unprocessed. To hell with her. She can bloviate to her echo chamber, and the rest of us can go about her business. I just want an employer to see the deleted tweets at some time in the future…

I have got to stop reading these kind of exchanges, apart from making my head hurt they have also severely eroded my spelling skills.
    Atheist – athiest – atheist – athiest – aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!
I’ve seen that poor word misspelled so many times that the botched job now looks sort of normal to me.
