Happy Father's day to the best dad ever

I have the best ever.  He is wise, and he busted his ass to give my mother, my brother, and myself a good life.  He has supported me in everything I’ve ever wanted to do and been patient when I fucked up (which was often).

I recall one of the many times I and our college secular group, pissed off the entirety of rural Springfield.  We had just organized a “fuck rally” in response to censorship.  The local paper ran five stories in a week whining about it and talking about how it wasn’t newsworthy.  Several times commenters on those stories left comments to the tune of, “I’ll bet your parents are so proud of you!”

Dad was right there in the comments identifying himself as my father, championing his pride for me, and inviting them to kiss his country ass.

When my time comes, if I’m even a fraction of the man my father is, I will have lived a good life.

Here are some pictures.  You should also read some of my dad’s contributions to this site.  The man’s great.

POLITICS: Boehner calls Obama an “anti-war President.”
PERSONAL: The corrupting power of fame and my love for my commenters.
MORNING HAPPINESS: Singing the music that speaks to you.

“When my time comes, if I’m even a fraction of the man my father is, I will have lived a good life.”
Technically, pedantically, speaking, you already *are* “a fraction of the man [your] father is”. The question is, what’s the value of that fraction? Is it closer to 1/1000, or 5/7, or what?

Also pedantically, he could manage to not be a fraction. JT might be some non-repeating decimal expansion portion of his father… that would make him irrational.
