The best place (Blogathon 49/49)

We did good today everybody.  We raised a lot of money for a great cause.

I’ll finish with a bit I love about working at the SSA: they treat you like a human being.  “Oh, you’re sick?  Why are you coming to work?  Stay home and take care of yourself!”  In every other job I’ve ever had your sick contributions were worth more than your well-being.  Not at the SSA.  Not for my bosses.

I have sick time allotted every year.

Bosses like that make me want to excel because I like them, rather than doing the bare minimum because I fear them.

I love my job at the SSA.  The only thing better than this job would be to be unemployed because a high school organizer yelling at obstructive administrators is no longer needed.

I’m going to wake up sometime today and head back into the office and work toward that goal.

Thanks, everybody. *hugs*

This is post 49 of 49 for Blogathon.

Total donors is at 255 (if we hit 300 by 7am tomorrow, even if those donations are just the $5 minimum, 20 campers at Camp Quest Ohio will get to pie Michaelyn or JT in the face)! There will be pictures. That link also has some other ideas for pledging for Blogathon. :)

You can still donate to the SSA by supporting other blogathoners, art contributors, personal fundraising pages or through a direct donation to the SSA! SSA Week lasts through June 17th. Spread the word!

Being a European, it always amazes me when those few Americans who are allowed sick days, brag about it. It would be funny if it wasn’t so disturbingly tragic.
