Why don't you guys marry him?

Christ.  Now I see why you guys suffer through the dregs that I write. Yes, I will still be posting snippets of stuff from my dad once I’m over at Patheos.  If you guys like him so much, why don’t you take him out to dinner or something?

Actually, do that.  And mom too.

Chrstina, Dr. Dave, and Michaelyn will all still be part of the blog after it’s moved too.  Worry not.

And I’ll still link and interact with Greta, Ed, PZ, Jen, Dan, Ian, and all my other FtB homies too.  The gang will all still be together, even if some of us are moving to the next ‘hood over.

About JT Eberhard

JT are you alright? Something tells me that either you’re having a bad day or people keep asking you the same questions and you’re a bit irritated or both. Anyway, your blog post reads like you’re irritated today.

    • Michaelyn

He wrote this blog with a smile on his face. Go back and read it as if he were laughing and rolling his eyes at all the questions he got about his dad. :]

JT, I love your guest contributors, but I come to this blog for you. The way I see it, you are “The People’s Atheist.” You break down the arguements for gods into simple to refute statements. You make it so anyone can defend their lack of faith. Not many people can do that. You are an amazingly talented writer. And I’m also really grateful that you write about mental illness so openly. As someone who suffers, you have helped me cope.

Don’t ever call your writing “dregs.”

And if you need them, hugs

    Quoted from your previous post:

Anybody who wastes a second of this life as a stepping block on the way to eternal bliss has adopted a purpose that pales in comparison to the purpose of enjoying the only existence they’re guaranteed.

This is so beautifully said JT! This is why I’ll follow your blog no matter where it’s hosted. Because of all the times I have found myself wishing that I could express an I idea even nearly as eloquently as you can. The occasional snippets from your dad are just a bonus…

Guys, guys. I was being facetious. :P

      Good. I’m glad you’re alright. :)

I’m not a guy, but I’m glad you’re doing allright. You had me worried. And everything I said above is true.

  • F

Oh, well, fuck you then. :p

  • sarahm

Ooh, group marriage? Count me in.

I will totally marry your mom and dad. That’s legal in Arkansas, right?

If not , your mom can just mail me tasty roasted game meats.

Where exactly are you moving too? and when?
    Is it http://www.patheos.com/Blogs ?

  • Joe T

Yup, pretty much just here for your dad and Christina. Dr Burger and Michaelyn are pretty cool too…who are you again?

I was reading some of the religious sections over at Patheos, talk about fresh meat. Have at them JT, their arguments make my head hurt.

  • ednaz

Don’t worry, JT. You’ll always be my favorite.

Y’know… Mebbe so your dad could sort of move in here and house sit until the lease runs out and they find a new tenant.

That way I could get an Eberhart booster without having to get up and walk all the way over to change channels. Besides, I’m not sure I feel safe in the new place. I mean, look, you don’t even have deposits down for phone and internet at the new digs, and you’re already talking about psychics and channeling and stuff. I just hope you’ve had your shots and wash your hands after you talk to the neighbors.

The more I think about it, the more I see this as your wacky spinoff show. This is your The Jeffersons. Or A Different World. Or Count Duckula.

  • Larry Clapp

In fact, I Friended him on Facebook. So I get my JTE-Dad directly. Or at least less indirectly than by coming here. ;)
