Administrative: spam filter and thanks

Last night I went through my spam filter and found out that a few of you had gotten trapped in there under the new Patheos settings.  I did some fixing so any comments that got eaten should be posted.  The authors of those comments should also be able to post.

If you have trouble, shoot me an email (wwjtd21 [at] gmail [dot] com).

Also, to those lovely google reader users out there who donated to make up for the lack of hits I get from you, thank you.  You were all more than generous.  This pays the bills, so I’m very grateful you took an interest in my livelihood.

Have you considered using disqus for the commenting system? Patheos seems to have it implemented because some of the blogs on here already use it.

    • JT Eberhard

Never even heard of it. Is it better?

      • Anonymous Atheist

There are pros and cons. You can try Disqus out on the Friendly Atheist blog.

I have de-filtered all ads coming from this website, to make sure I see them when I come here to read. I promise, I’ll even click if something interests me. (I trust you’re not being paid by the CTR? or are you?)

JT, if I read your blog from my phone using Google Chrome, do you get hits?

It may be a silly question, but I’d rather check and be certain.

    • JT Eberhard

      Yes, I do. :) You’re safe.

I suppose this thread is the most on topic for the request I’m about to make.

Please would you consider changing the formatting of the front page to show all the blog posts straight down instead of the double-column layout you’ve got now? At present I find it confusing regarding the order of the older entries.

    • JT Eberhard

I do too, but the formatting is not in my hands. That’s Patheos. :\

    • Nate Frein

If you switch to the archives format it goes to a straight line down (like FTB does it).
