Godless college football thread.

After my beloved Razorbacks blew a 21 point lead to lowly ULM last week, I don’t even want to talk about college football – especially since this week we play #1 Alabama who looks like a freaking juggernaut.

So, things to talk about this week aside from how particular games are going…can any team unseat the SEC in its run of national championships?  I don’t think so.  LSU has an insane amount of talent, even if I think Les Miles is an absolutely awful coach.  Seriously, is there a luckier coach in the history of football than that guy?  But I think ‘bama looks even better.  USC will do well beating up on cupcake west coast teams, but I don’t think they have the firepower to even keep a game with the likes of Alabama close.

I’m pullin for LU Monroe this week against auburn. Not sure if it would really be considered an upset with how terrible auburn is but that’s what I’m calling it. I’d normally say Woo pig Sooie here but considering who my team is, Roll Tide Roll! Hope it’s a good game!

Both of my teams, Boise State and Wisconsin, are in a rebuilding phase this year, so I probably won’t be paying much attention to football. I guess my top teams this year will be the Ducks and whoever is playing against Alabama.

I was at Saturday’s Michigan-UMass game, and young Cooper Barton of Oklahoma City was there with his family. (To recap: he was the boy forced to turn his Michigan shirt inside out due to a dress code forbidding university apparel from schools located outside of oklahoma.) He made an on-field appearance during a first quarter timeout, and received a rousing welcome from the Michigan fans as he was presented with a Michigan t-shirt – printed on BOTH sides – on the big screen. He appeared to be having the time of his life. Here’s the story from KJRH, in Tulsa: http://www.kjrh.com/dpp/news/state/okla-boy-honored-at-michigan-football-game

My Auburn Tigers did everything within their power to lose to ULM this week. It was only by sheer luck in freaking overtime that they managed to barely get the win.

This is going to be a long damn season…
