I’m not going to make it to St. Louis tonight.

I was supposed to speak to the Atheist meetup in St. Louis tonight, but I’m in Lawrence with a fever and an inability to stay awake for long stretches.  Driving five hours would probably not be the smartest thing I’ve done this year.

I’ve let the organizers know I won’t make it.  We’ve rescheduled for Feb. 18 of next year.  Sorry guys.  :(

OMG, my binding spell worked! SO sorry about that. I honestly didn’t expect it to have any effect. I apologize to you and everyone in and around St. Louis who planned on attending your talk.

JT, I unbind you in the Name of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and all of of His Noodley Appendages. Ramen.

If you get better, that would be absolute undeniable proof of the Flying Spaghetti Monster as well as my abilities to call upon His powers. There is just no other possible explanation.

I hope you learned an important lesson here. Aren’t you glad you didn’t summon Cthulhu?

Can’t you just growl at the disease until it runs screaming from your body?

If you had Jesus as your co-pilot, he could take over and you’d still be able to get there…

With god’s notoriously bad aim, JT would end up in Moscow or something.

Sorry to hear that, I was looking forward to the Meetup tonight.

But definitely, don’t do an extended drive if you’re not up for it. My drive home from Skepticon this year, in the dark and the rain, feeling horrible, with a fever, was probably not particularly safe for me or for the drivers around me.
