If you’re going to be around the Columbus, OH area next weekend, consider swinging by the Humanist Community of Central Ohio’s Winter Solstice banquet. I’ll be giving a talk there, and it will be a more personal one about what the freethought movement has meant to me.
However, tickets will not be available at the door. You have to register ahead of time by December 1st.
The banquet will be held on Saturday, December 8th, at the Days Inn, 750 Stelzer Rd, Columbus, Ohio. Registration is $25 for members, $20 for low-income/student members, $35 for non-members, and $10 for kids (12 and under). You can register online or download the paper form and mail it in. Special dietary needs can be accommodated. Please contact Julia at 614-675-5577 or email email@example.com
Camp Quest will be providing activities for children this year at the Winter Solstice Banquet from 1:30pmto 3:30 pm. All children are welcome, but those younger than the age of 5 will need to be accompanied by a parent.

This year’s banquet will be served buffet style and offers you a choice between Parmesan chicken breast topped with tomato sauce or Penne with tomato basil sauce (vegan and vegetarian friendly). Both entrees are served with a house salad and Italian bread with garlic butter. Children will be served Farfalle (bowtie) with tomato alfredo sauce. A Tossed green salad will be served with Ranch or Italian Dressing. Iced tea, coffee, water, and soda are provided. A dessert assortment of mini cannolis, tiramisu, and brownies will also be served.
And then afterward, maybe we can go do karaoke or something. I hope to see some of you there!
