Why there were no legal columns today.

For those of you who came to the blog today for Anne’s usual legal columns, she has a legitimate excuse.  Last week a group of men broke into her home and robbed her at gunpoint.

Four of the five of them are now in custody but, as you can imagine, it is a very time-consuming ordeal.  I asked Anne if she needed us to do a fundraiser for her and, thankfully, her insurance will cover everything.

Sadly, they also got away with her favorite piece of jewelry.  Affectionately named “the Goddess”, many high profile atheists have had their picture taken with it.  Here’s one with me and Teresa MacBain.

I know that the Goddess meant a great deal to Anne.  I wish we could do more than just offer sympathy and support, but that seems to be all that’s available at the moment.

Anne feels sorry she doesn’t have her blogs up for today, but I’ve told her that writing here is something we do for fun, not an obligation.  I’ve told her that if she wants two days next week or to not post for a month, either is ok with me.  So I don’t know when Anne will be back but, in the meantime, leave her some love to come home to.

Tomorrow's gonna be a bit slow.
