Anybody else headed to Austin?

I can’t believe I didn’t ask this before, but are any of you going to be in Austin this weekend?  If so, leave a comment and maybe an email address.  Let’s meet up for a drink.  :)

About to take off from Dallas.  Next stop: Austin!

About JT Eberhard

He spent two and a half years with the Secular Student Alliance as their first high school organizer. During that time he built the SSA’s high school program and oversaw the development of groups nationwide. I live down here, and love the blog, lots of fun places in south Austin for drinks

  • sqlrob

Have fun here. I don’t think I’ll be able to make the conference this weekend :-/

@Freddie: South Austin seems relatively sparse for that. Of course, your definition of South and mine probably differ, since I’m off of Slaughter. ;)

  • Freddie

LOL, I am off of Parmer, so everything is pretty much south Austin, but specifically i was thinking of the area around Zilker Park and the convention area

    • sqlrob

      I don’t consider anything north of 290 south :D

  • Constance Reader

I live here in well, and as a South Austin girl, I agree with sqlrob.

Around Zilker…Shady Grove or Chuy’s? Both would give JT quite a nice little slice of Austin Weird.

  • Freddie

    I think Chuy’s would work

  • Elerena

I’m only about an hour out from Austin, would love to head up there.

  • VikingATX

Longtime lurker here, also from Austin (North), so I agree that South = South of Town Lake. And I also concur on the Barton Springs Chuy’s, part of what made me fall in love with the city the first time I was here!
