Think of stuff for me to do during SSA week!

So right after I get home from the Santa Cruz debate at the end of the month I’ll jump right into SSA Week.  SSA Week raises money for, you guessed it, the Secular Student Alliance.  Convenient name for the event.  I still consider the SSA, American Atheists, and the FFRF to be the most important and best-run organizations out there, so this is for a cause I very much support.

I’ve already looked into live-streaming retro games (and will take requests).  I think one day I’ll take requests and sing songs and upload them to youtube.  What else should I do?  I’ll undoubtedly blog some in between, so if you guys have any questions you want answered or anything you want comment on, go nuts.

I’m also thinking that for a donation to the SSA, I’d even be willing to write an entire post making fun of you.  You’re welcome.

Anyway, give me ideas.

About JT Eberhard

When not defending the planet from inevitable apocalypse at the rotting hands of the undead, JT is a writer and public speaker about atheism, gay rights, and more. He spent two and a half years with the Secular Student Alliance as their first high school organizer. During that time he built the SSA’s high school program and oversaw the development of groups nationwide. JT is also the co-founder of the popular Skepticon conference and served as the events lead organizer during its first three years.

I can’t even think of stuff for me to do during slow weeks.

    • Glodson

Thought of a few, just to take my mind off the bad news today.

      1) Dramatic readings of books like “Left Behind.”
      2) A musical retrospective of Kirk Cameron’s career.
      3) Play Duck Tales. Woo-ooo!
      4) Play Castlevania
      5) Play Dark Souls and let us troll the shit out of you.

      • invivoMark

Ooh, I like the Dark Souls idea!

Also, depending on how JT is with scary games, we could have him play Slender, SCP Containment Breach, and other such games. I’d donate a nickel for every time he screams! ;-)

        • Glodson

          Scary games would be great.

Maybe if someone has a copy of Superman 64 and a working N64, we could see the real depths of terror.

I know JT likes to think of his fans as friends. I think my idea has just booted me off the friends list. I doubt I will be invited over for Atheismas.

Oh, hey, I thought of a title for my proposed musical retrospective of Kirk Cameron’s career. “Jesus Christ, Stupidstar.”

We’ll just file this under the header of “Glodson, you aren’t helping.”

Any Tim Minchin song (or poem). Please. How much money can I throw at my computer screen for this?

    • Katybe

Having just gone on a Tom Lehrer kick to mark his 85th birthday, how about Tom and Tim songs?

      • Wren

        The Vatican Rag? Ha!

  • hotshoe

Wait, you’re going to be in Santa Cruz? Where? When?

    I wanna be there!
