Klingenschmitt: government forcing Christians to participate in sodomy.

The amount of unhinged lately has gone well over 9,000.

Trying to reason with people like this is like expecting a newborn to comprehend English.  All you can really do is boggle that people can be this detached from reality, mock them for their lack of effort to be accurate, and weep because they have an audience who votes largely based on what they say.

About JT Eberhard

When not defending the planet from inevitable apocalypse at the rotting hands of the undead, JT is a writer and public speaker about atheism, gay rights, and more. He spent two and a half years with the Secular Student Alliance as their first high school organizer. During that time he built the SSA’s high school program and oversaw the development of groups nationwide. JT is also the co-founder of the popular Skepticon conference and served as the events lead organizer during its first three years.

Oh sweet jebus. No, I do not want him participating in my sodomy. *shudder*

      Hey, the law’s the law.

I’m just glad it specifically says Mr. Klingenschmitt has to participate in basementmatt’s sodomy and not Bear Millotts’.

      • basementmatt

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I would rather gouge my eyes out with grapefruit spoons than have him as a participant in my sodomy games.

  • Loqi

This is the precursor to Klingenschmitt showing up to an orgy uninvited.

“I know you don’t want me here, and I totally don’t *want* to be here or anything, but the law says I have to. Can I join in now?”

  • islandbrewer

    *raises hand*

So us non-christians, we don’t get any sodomy?

    • http://gamesgirlsgods.blogspot.com/ Feminerd

Of course we do! That’s what we’re doing anyways, because we’re all godless heathens just because we wanted to do all the sexy things God doesn’t like.

      • Zinc Avenger

        I’ll get my sodomy hat.

  • JLou2

So he thinks that he is going to be forced to have sex with a man because it’s legal for gays to marry? He is so detached from reality by his dogma that I can only pity him for the level of brainwashing that he has had done to him.

    • DavidMHart

I suspect it’s more just that he has a fantastically expansive definition of ‘participate in X’, which includes ‘not being legally entitled to discrimate against people who do X’. You have heard that whole ‘Anyone who is not for me is against me’ thing, I’m sure.

Where is my free government provided 6 pack of christians to sodomize? Will they arrive precleaned and STI screened or do I have to hose them down and draw blood by myself? Forget sledding, I’m really looking forward to having fun this xmas season by having a medieval war on their asses.

  • Mick

Klingenscmitt says, “If we Christians don’t participate in their sodomy then we can be sued bankrupted and jailed. I don’t think that’s right.”

    It’s not right. it’s a lie.

    • Spuddie

The penalty is only a fine. =)

  • Gehennah

    Cake and Sodomy anyone?

  • Quintin van Zuijlen

I think it’s reasonably plausible that mr. Klingenschmitt does in fact feel compelled to participate in sodomy, but hasn’t quite figured out yet where that compulsion comes from, leading him, as is customary for ultra-conservative Christians in America, to blame the government.

  • Joey K.

So he’s afraid that the government will try to force him to follow another religion? Amid his delusion, I think he’s accidentally stumbled upon a valid point. He doesn’t want other religions forced upon, just like we don’t want any religion forced upon us.
