Guy who posed at soup kitchen, but didn’t actually volunteer, urges voters to be more skeptical.

Paul Ryan, who famously barged into a soup kitchen to wash already-clean pots and pans for a photo op before skipping out before any actual work could be done, is urging voters to be more skeptical in the next presidential election:

Former vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan doubts Iowans would have rehired Democrat Barack Obama if they’d known last year that Obamacare wouldn’t turn out to be all it was cracked up to be.

Mixing regret and some I-told-you-so attitude, Ryan said he and GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney “didn’t quite deliver” during their bid for the White House last year.

Yes, this is the same Paul Ryan who has more “mostly false” statements as rated by politifact than any other type.  Many of those statements are about the Affordable Care Act.

This is the same Paul Ryan who asserted that the GOP pursued the government shutdown to acquire a negotiation chip, and then later blamed the Democrats.

This doesn’t excuse any lies that Obama has told, of course.  But if you were to compare the two, it’s clear whose political lies are more egregious.  And it also lends irony to Paul Ryan asking people to be more skeptical.  To Paul Ryan, the voters who bought their story about the Dems being responsible for the government shutdown are the ones who were sufficiently skeptical.

If voters were appropriately skeptical, the GOP would’ve been history with the Bush administration.
