Shrews Two: Sex Over Gender

I am very sorry that men have become a convenient target, and that changing them is the cause du jour. I also want them to know that not all of us are pulling the trigger. Some women are still very much in your favor and are willing to fight against the denigration of the man as husband, father, and stable protector.

Ugly things happen to all kinds of people, and these ugly things can shape us dramatically. Because I believe we are created in the likeness of God, I refuse to believe that all men are evil, and the same applies for women. I am divorced. It was an ugly divorce. But do I let that one experience hinder me from developing future relationships? No.

Men asked what my intent was with "Shrews." The intent then is the same now: to let you know that there is acknowledgement from some in our camp that feminism was wrong to ignite such gender wars, and to hopefully start a genuine discourse on the matter. That is the only way we can stop viewing each other as enemies.

Maybe then we can get beyond the hurt feelings of deception and start to realize the beauty and balance one gender can bring to the other in the unions Christ designed for us.
