Christian parents sing “Jesus Loves Me” to silence transgender supporter at school board meeting (VIDEO) May 3, 2016

A recent school board meeting in Horry County, South Carolina discussed whether students should be able to use the bathroom that matches their gender identity. The vast majority of parents in the room opposed having transgender students use the bathroom they want and even held up signs saying “Keep Kids Safe” suggesting that transgender students are perpetrators.

One brave woman, Melanie Moore, spoke up against the absurdity taking place in the room. As she was trying to argue how transgender students should be treated equally and with respect, she was rudely interrupted until the crowd completely sings over her with the song “Jesus Loves Me.” This video is hard to watch as so many “loving” Christians express their blatant bigotry.
