Donald Trump has repeatedly said many sexist things, but now audio has come out of him openly bragging about sexual assault. Here is the video and transcript of his abhorrent words:

Trump: “I did try and f— her. She was married. And I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said, ‘I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.’”

“I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.”

*Trump and Bush notice Arianne Zucker who is waiting for them outside the bus*

Bush: “Your girl’s hot as s—, in the purple”

Trump: “Whoa!” “I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it.  You can do anything.”

Bush: Whatever you want”

Trump: “Grab them by the p—y, you can do anything.”

The Trump campaign first dismissed this tape as “locker room talk”, but with more people condemning this as they heard about it, Trump finally offered a very weak official apology. It was encouraging to see many Republicans condemn Donald Trump and even admit that they can no longer support him. Trump has said many awful things, but apparently bragging about sexual assault and removing any plausible deniability was too much for them. However, there still are people defending Trump and dismissing this as “boys will be boys” behavior.

Bragging about sexual assault is not “boys being boys.” There is nothing about being male that makes you automatically assault someone. When boys are not taught about consent and respecting boundaries they will be more likely to assault someone.

Men must speak out about these comments to show that they are unacceptable. Silence can be interpreted as tacit approval. Sexual assault is an epidemic and we cannot stand by idly while people openly condone it.
