The Super Bowl is just hours away, but Budweiser has already released its Super Bowl ad. The ad shows Adolphus Busch immigrate to the United States from Germany and deal with some xenophobia in the process. But at the end of the ad, you see Busch meet Eberhard Anheuser, where they begin their partnership in creating Budweiser.
In the wake of Trump’s Muslim ban and plan to build the Mexican wall, this ad shows a very positive story of immigration. Budweiser has said it doesn’t explicitly relate to Trump, but to me, it’s pretty obvious and they are probably making the business decision to not directly challenge the president.
