2. Some people in mainstream (Read: White) media, particularly Sports Talk Radio are saying, “He should not accept his paycheck in protest of racial inequality! (Read: He makes millions of dollars so why is he complaining about anything?). My Response: Again, this is a typical ignorant response, from people who don’t understand what’s going on outside their little sports bubble. They may be knowledgeable in terms of numbers, data and records from baseball and football stars over the past 40 to 50 years (useless information if you ask me), but they don’t know whats happening in the town 30 miles away from where they work – usually poor neighborhoods where people are getting killed for no reason! So in other words, people who happen to make a lot of money should just shut up and sit down, because they don’t have to worry about anything right? Well tell that to NBA Star Dwyane Wade, whose cousin was recently shot and killed in a shoot out on the streets of Chicago (she was walking back home after registering her child for school and got caught in the cross fire and died from multiple gun shot wounds)!
