1. Kaepernick specifically mentioned “Police Brutality” as one of the reasons why he is protesting the American Flag which represents those government employees (City/County/State/Federal Police Forces). Of course not all police are bad and not all victims of police brutality are innocent either, but there has been a very big epidemic going on for at least 40 years where thousands of innocent people, particularly blacks and other minorities, are being wrongly arrested, beaten, given long and unfair sentences in court, killed and straight up murdered by US government employees. It’s time for ALL Americans to start addressing these issues and come up with solutions to solve our shared problems as a country, instead of just idling sitting by and just pretending there is nothing wrong in my neighborhood while they watch Sunday Night Football. In my view, Kaepernick may have lost his starting QB job and may end up being cut by the 49ers as well, but in terms of standing up for justice to bring attention to a big problem in this country, he is a real MVP. I salute you Colin and pray that more people have the courage to speak the truth, even if most people don’t want to hear it.
