When some object to grace, they essentially object to themselves under grace. For them, it is not a matter of whether God is very, very gracious. Of course, He is! It really comes down to if their heart is very, very trustworthy. So when they reject grace, they actually reject the possibility that they are new and righteous at the core and can therefore both survive and thrive under grace.
