Jesus said the opposite of abiding is being “apart” from Him. He also said anyone who does not abide in Him is like a branch that is gathered and burned. Finally, the apostle John writes that anyone who confesses that Jesus is the Son of God abides in Him.
It sounds like abiding is a pretty black-and-white thing. Still, so many have turned abiding into a work or a walk. But is abiding a moment by moment decision we must make? Or is it something that we already do?
