Dharmaruci has been following the saga of Gordon Brown from the beginning, and he has an article up from Sunday that reviews the charts not only of Brown but also of the New Labour Party and draws some interesting conclusions.  Regarding the chart of the New Labour Party: With Jupiter Rising in Aquarius, it believed (Jupiter) it could create a better world (Aquarius). Tony Blair’s Moon in Aquarius harmonised with this, and gave him the ability to connect this vision to the people.... Read more

Mercury is moving quickly through Taurus and today it forms a challenging square to the triple conjunction of Jupiter, Chiron and Aquarius. Mercury is the processor of our experiences; it digests the stuff of our daily existence and converts it into usable data that can be run through the softwareof our mind. The square is a challenging 90 degree formation and today it may be difficult to process the emotions that are springing forth as a result of the triple conjunction.  But... Read more

Deirdre has a great article today on the upcoming eclipses this summer: Although we have a month to go, I consider eclipse season to be in full swing now. The June 8 lunation opened a door to some specific geometry: 17°+ Sagittarius was the June 8th Full Moon. The July 7th full moon will be at 15°+ Capricorn and it will be an eclipse, too. Being so close in degree, these full moons will both effect charts sensitive at the... Read more

Venus entered Taurus on Friday. Taurus is one of the signs ruled by Venus (the other is Libra), and for the next month or so we are governed by a love of fine and beautiful things and inspired by creative beauty. This is not a particularly good time to go on a diet, because Taurus loves fine food and Venus can be particularly self-indulgent in the signs of its rulership. Mars is also in Taurus now, and our drive and... Read more

You read it here first: When I put up the post on Thursday afternoon about Carradine’s death, speculating that the likely cause of Carradine’s death was autoerotic asphyxiation, a Google search turned up no other articles on this topic.  Now the details of Carradine’s tragic death have come out and there is no doubt that this was indeed the cause of his death. When there is a fascination with the dark side of sexuality, we usually find a strong Pluto component... Read more

Some conspiracy theorists speculate that crop circles are being made by satellite transmitters that have been programmed with mind control messages.  That seems rather far out until you read this: The 2009 crop circle ‘season’ started with abundance and now looks set to bring a summer of circles to Britain’s fields. Whether made by human hands or an altogether different life form, no less than 20 formations have been spotted since the season began in April. This week alone two huge... Read more

David Carradine was found dead today in his hotel room in Bangkok where he was shooting his latest film “Stretch.”  Carradine was found naked with a rope around his deck.  He was 72. The minute I heard about this, intuitively I felt that this was a case of erotic asphyxiation, and now the BBC is reporting that Carradine was found with a curtain rope around his neck “and other parts of his body.”  TMZ claims that Carradine’s rep says that the death was 100%... Read more

There are a lot of different astrological charts for the United States floating around out there, but the one most commonly used, and the one I prefer, is called the Sibley chart which has Sagittarius rising.  The rising sign, also called the Ascendant because it was ascending at the birth moment, marks the identity and personality of the entity. Sagittarius is the sign of expansion, optimism, and let’s face it, self-righteousness.  Sagittarius can have a tendency to believe that it knows... Read more

With the furor over gay marriage and health care reform taking precedence over the past few years, the battle over abortion has faded into the backdrop of American society.  But just as the conjunction of Chiron and Neptune is culminating, the murder of one of the few doctors who performed late term abortions as he worshipped in his church is bringing the abortion discussion back into the public consciousness. Jupiter is the planet that gives us the desire to play... Read more
