The infant leaped in her womb.

How often do we have grace move towards us, and we shrink in fear? But when grace and mercy actually flow over us, when we are actually confronted by our Lord, our soul sings?

Here we have Elizabeth past childbearing age with her promised son John leaping in her womb for joy, because his Savior, his mother’s Savior, his father’s Savior is here. John will come out of that womb and wander the desert wearing camel hair and eating locusts and wild honey, proclaiming the Lord Jesus Christ to everyone, whether they listen or not. And here we have a virgin, The Virgin, pregnant with the most holy child ever. Who will come out of his mother’s womb, flee to Egypt, come home live a life of a poor construction worker, and then blow everybody’s mind.

Lord God, who’s only begotten Son was sent to blow our minds, to blow our hearts wide open, and to set our souls at blaze we are yours. We ask that this entire world turn to you Jesus and your Sacred Heart. Only washed by your blood and filled with the Holy Spirit and the Grace of God the Father can we try find true peace. Grants that we find rest in you. And bless us with being your missionaries on this earth. We pray these things in communion with all the Angels and Saints, on the name of the father and the son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
