On the Road journalist Steve Hartmann and photographer asked strangers on the streets of New York to pose together as if they were partners, friends or family.  At first people were awkward with each other and wondering what they had gotten themselves into, but quickly the walls came down and those participating said, “I felt like I cared for her.  I felt like it broke down a lot of barriers!” and “It was a good feeling.” Watch this video as it shows something about ourselves and our humanity when we allow ourselves the time to be a little vulnerable.
