“You can’t pick out the pieces you like and leave the rest. Being part of the whole thing, that’s the blessing.”
Written in 1975, this classic book Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt has been adapted into two feature films (one starring Alexis Bledel). It’s about an unhappy 10 year old girl, Winnie Foster who wishes for a life away from her domineering mom, a fountain of youth, a 17 year old named Jesse and his family (the Tuck Family). It makes one contemplate the benefits and downsides of eternal life. Would you choose to live forever if you had the choice?
