Horton Hears a Who! was written in 1954 by Theodor Seuss Geisel who wrote under the pen name Dr. Seuss. Horton is an elephant with a great big heart, that discovers a tiny speck which is actually a small person. That small person lives in a tiny planet called Whoville. Horton makes it his job to protect Whoville, even though he is harassed by the other animals all of whom think Horton is crazy. This book was turned into a movie in 2008 with a cast of Jim Carrey and Steve Carell.
