Born in Ohio in 1997, Simone Biles’ mom had substance abuse problems and was unable to take care of her children. Simone was raised by her grandparents who adopted she and her sister when they were very young. They was raised right outside of Houston, TX. Simone has been deemed the World’s Best Gymnast and has raised the bar for the sport with the extreme level of difficulty of her routines. At 4′ 8″ she manages to get up to speed on her tumbling runs more quickly than most, allowing her to add more twists and turns to each run. Watch Simone Biles back in her youth.
