Fast friendship is formed after tripping during Olympic race

Nikki Hamblin (New Zealand) and Abbey D’Agostino (Topsfield, MA USA) didn’t know each other as they started the 5000m Olympic race the other day. About 2/3 of the way into the race (3.1 miles), Nikki tripped and Abbey wasn’t able to avoid her and went tumbling down hard also. What transpired after the fall will be one of the most inspiring takeaways from the 2016 Rio Olympics and the footage and photos have been been all over the internet.
