Remake of “Beaches” stars Idina Menzel in the Bette Midler role

Beaches (1988) was critically panned but was a huge box office success. It was about two girls who meet at the Beach in Atlantic City when they are young. They become friends at that moment and continue their friendship over many decades, through marriage, divorce, pregnancy and illness. And Mayim Bialik plays CC as a young girl…forgot about that!
