It’s Memorial Day weekend!  Many of us love this weekend, so we can go to the beach or travel to see friends and family. Let’s face it – there isn’t enough time in the year to take breaks and every long weekend is a gift.  But in all our busyness, let’s not forget why this Memorial Day weekend has been set aside…to honor all those who have sacrificed their lives for our country.

Here’s a short video about the Arlington National Cemetery “flags in” tradition. About a 1000 soldiers place flags in front of every gravestone – 230,000 flags in all.  It’s a sobering tradition and makes me truly grateful for the ultimate sacrifice men and women have made for our freedom.

Happy Memorial Day from Clippity Clip!
