1) Laurie Hernandez – Floor Exercise 2009

The USA Women’s Gymnastics Team took the gold in 2016 in Rio. They have trained long and hard to become the athletes they are today. Here is a compilation of the five teammates – Laurie Hernandez, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, Simone Biles and Madison Kocian when they were much younger performing the floor exercise at various meets.

This first video is of Laurie Hernandez when she was 9 years old and cute and spunky as ever. Known as the “human emoji,” her smiling nature was apparent long ago. At 16, she is the youngest member of the USA Women’s Team in Rio. We should all look out for her in 2020. Watch Laurie perform her amazing floor routine of years ago – some of the stepping stones to her becoming an Olympic gold medalist.
