God’s Perspective is Bigger Than Our Own

God’s Perspective is Bigger Than Our Own April 7, 2018

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.Romans 8:28

As a friend and I were walking, enjoying the beautiful spring day, our conversation ended up, as it always does, sharing about God and His faithfulness in our lives.  God’s eternal perspective is always better, bigger than our own.

I’m not, by nature, a risk taker. I like the known, the secure, the well-planned out day and future. But God is never limited by our thinking, our concerns or even the action of others in our lives. His ways are bigger and better than ours and His faithfulness is beyond our ability to comprehend.

God is like a GPS – either confirming that we are on the right route or redirecting us to His best plan – His bigger Yes.  His Yes, His will, is based on His good plan for our lives and not on our limited view or perspective, our past, our emotions or even our fears.

In the midst of the twists and the turns of life, the promises of God remain true. God’s faithfulness keeps our focus on His plan no matter what is occurring around us. As we surrender to His bigger perspective, God guides us into our future.

I recently saw this quote “Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear our path” (author unknown).  I can certainly relate.   What you and I may consider a difficult detour or even a dead end, God often uses to open a new door of blessings and restoration.

God has promised to make all things work for the good of those who love Him and are seeking His face. His promises keep our focus on Him and His faithfulness no matter what is occurring around us. He leads and guides us into our future.

We often go through the hard times to get to the good things, the God things in our lives. Adversity, in the life of a believer, prunes us and produces good fruit. Redirection produces God-reliance, versus self-reliance. God wants us to know and believe that He is our strong tower, our defense, our provision – no matter the circumstances in our lives.

In the courageous life of every believer, man’s rejection ultimately becomes God’s protection and even, redirection for a purposeful, happy life. Focusing on God’s bigger viewpoint allows us to cooperate and partner with His plan for our destiny.

Are you ready to surrender your point of view for God’s viewpoint?  His viewpoint, His perspective, His plan for our lives far exceeds anything we could hope for or imagine.
