The science is always on your side

When you insist on saying any scientific research that disagrees is part of some vast conspiracy or the result of partisanship.  It took me forever to find this story outside of conservative, religious  outlets.  Obviously oversight on the part of other outlets.  The story I linked to is an editorial.   Of course groups promoting diversity are taking immediate action and threatening Johns Hopkins with reprisals if immediate disassociation with the violators doesn’t happen.   What a fortunate time we live in.  Everything keeps proving we’re right because everything that suggests otherwise is just hate and stupidity that must immediately be banished into the outer darkness for the sake of tolerance.  Whew.  Enlightened times these.

Seriously, there is an innate danger with declaring anyone with an opposing opinion as worthy of punishment.  It’s called surrounding yourself by yes men.   Or I guess yes people.  It’s never a smart move.  Let the opinions be published, refute them, smack them down, do whatever.  But do not punish people for expressing them.  That can only go one way, and it isn’t pretty.
