George Weigel hits the mark

This piece pretty much reflects my views about the election.  Yay, she lost!  Oh no, he won.    I have to hope, of course.  And there might be some ground for hope.  Hope that Trump doesn’t turn on the worst of his campaign, and hope that Trump’s opponents learn their lesson.  Basically, the gist of my thinking was best seen at the end of the piece:

“a lot of what was being reacted against ought to be taken seriously, from the plight of those left behind to the plague of political correctness and its corrosive impact on democracy. But, he concluded, the reaction had found itself a dangerous vehicle in Mr. Trump.”

Yep.  That pretty much sums it up.
