Goodbye Mr. Delligatti

Goodbye Mr. Delligatti

And thank you.  Mr. Jim Delligatti, who invented the Big Mac, died today at the age of 98.  A franchise owner, he came up with the new sandwich fifty years ago.  There was a time when Big Macs were my go to meal in college.   Back then I could eat that way and not gain an ounce.  I haven’t had one for a long time, but in honor of Mr. Delligatti, I might get one soon.

Funny the people who impact our lives.  They are responsible for those cultural bonds that everyone can relate to.  Everyone except Millennials, however, since apparently only about 20% say they’ve had a Big Mac.  Poor things.  They don’t know what they’re missing.

Anyway, thanks again, and God bless you and your loved ones.  Peace and grace be upon all who will miss him, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
