Americans love a loser, and will not tolerate a winner

Because losing wars is getting to be as American as processed apple pie and steroids in baseball. I can’t imagine a speech like this today.  Nope, this is the America Japan hoped we would be and Germany was counting on.  They just missed by a couple generations.
