If you get your view of the world from partisan media outlets

Might seem like a beautiful, albeit rare, outpouring of love.  Fact is, this is most people most of the time.  As Christians we can never forget what the Faith teaches:  We are made in God’s image yet tainted by sin, living in a fallen world that was created for good.  Because of that, everything can happen and it always will.

But the media narratives, and the Social Media agenda driven punchlines, have a way of turning reality upside down.  In the age where, for the first time in human history, we have the ability to see people in a new way that could help eliminate old misconceptions and errors, we have labored to create new misconceptions and errors.  This time, it’s not the result of ignorance.  This time it’s the result of our desire to make sure we’re right and they’re the baddies.  Whoever we and they happen to be.

So enjoy the video.  It is a beautiful act of kindness in a week of hurt.  But more often than not, it’s the rule rather than the exception.
